Student Ministries
What We Do and Why:
At First Covenant Church, we not only believe our Students (6th-12th grade) are ‘the future’ of the church, we believe they are whole persons in the church today! They are invited to participate in and contribute to the full life of the church. This includes, but is not limited to, organizing special events, participating in (or facilitating) Formation Classes, leading in Worship, and serving on leadership teams!
Sunday Morning Formation
Students are invited to join us on Sunday mornings for an intentional time of Christian Formation as we explore topics of scripture, faith and life together! Our desire is to be faithful to our commitment to EQUIP our students though prayer, scripture, and discipleship.
Wednesday Evenings
Students are also invited to join us for Midweek on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year (6:00 – 7:30 pm) for an intentional time of community building and Christian Formation alongside their peers. These gatherings are a highlight of the week for our students, and include free time, snacks, games, teaching, and small groups. We hope you will join us!
Confirmation
For students in 7th, 8th or 9th grade who are interested in a more systematic exploration of the Christian faith, we are also excited to offer Confirmation. This program is offered yearly, beginning in January and concluding with Confirmation Sunday, the first weekend of May.
